Apparently, the reason one of the E22's noses is longer than the other is to get around some rule. You can only have one nose, however I think Lotus gets around this by making the nose 50 mm behind the right nose.
Edit: Oh yeah Boullier left. My favorite F1 team's future really doesn't look bright....
Edit 2: Racecar Engineering also understands from sources within the team that the E22 has a ver clever mechanism for transmitting torque from the power unit to the transmission, which offers much greater performance than others seen by some team suppliers.

I don't follow F1 closely enough to memorize what drivers moved to what teams for '14, but I know enough to recognize that PDVSA sponsorship means Maldonado now drives for Lotus.

It's definitely a creative way to circumvent the rules, but how does having two noses give an advantage in the first place?
